Volunteers to aid in snow/ice clearance
This is your chance to help the community in which you live and work. The Parish Council is looking for volunteers to aid in snow/ice clearance this winter.
The general idea is when snow/ice is on the ground in the morning volunteers will meet at the Parish Office or Golden Green Village Hall (depending on where they live) just before 8am. They will be met by a supervisor who will have already assessed the conditions and will have prioritised sites to be cleared obviously dependent on number of volunteers that are available.
If you wish to volunteer (even if time is limited or perhaps provide refreshments) then please pop into the Parish Office with your contact details. There is normally someone in the office between 9.30am to 3pm Monday to Thursday. Please bring in a Consent Form. You can download a Consent form here to bring/send to the Parish Office.
Snow Clearance will ONLY PROCEED WHILST RESOURCES PERMIT and when it is not possible caution signs will be erected on the designated areas that have not been done, however: PLEASE, ALWAYS USE REASONABLE CARE.
We will NOT be clearing the whole Parish (see list of areas designated for possible clearance on Parish notice boards).
