A26 proposed speed limits

KCC are planning to reduce the speed limits by 10mph on the A26 between the junction with Ashes Lane (the Rose Revived) and the BP garage at the junction of Three Elm Lane. (You may recall there have been two fatal accidents there over the past year or so).

The 40mph limit at Hadlow will be extended past the Ashes Lane junction to just past Faulkners. From there to the BP garage, the current 60mph limit will be reduced to 50mph. At the Three Elm Lane junction, it remains 40mph heading into Tonbridge.

You can view the relevant KCC documents (“Deposit Document Amendment 36 Tonbridge & Malling“) and support or object to the proposed changes at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations before 12 noon Monday 16 March 2020.

You can support or object to the proposed changes at www.kent.gov.uk/highwaysconsultations or write to The TRO Co-ordinator, Schemes Planning & Delivery Team, Highways, Transportation & Waste, Kent County Council, Ashford Highway Depot, Henwood Industrial Estate, Javelin Way, Ashford, TN24 8AD.
