There is some light around the corner!. The good news is that cases in Hadlow/East Peckham/Golden Green are falling. Having risen from 5 to over 50 in the second half of last year, new cases in the last seven days are down to 13. I suspect Boris is this time going to be more over cautious about letting us out but things will get better from here. So maybe we will be able to hold a fete this summer ….

Meanwhile the days are getting longer. Sunset today is a whole hour later than it was in December. What we need now of course is for the footpaths to dry out! Keep safe everybody.

If you’ve been with your gas or electricity supplier for a while, you may be able to save money by switching to another supplier. Three times a year TMBC participates with other councils in a nationwide energy auction to get the best deal from suppliers. If you’re registered with the scheme, you’ll get a personalised offer which you can accept or reject. Registration is free and you’re not obliged to accept the winning offer. Switching is easy and painless. The deadline for registering for the next auction is 8 February. You can even register on behalf of someone else.
