Carol Service

We were robbed for the last two years of our carol service by the pandemic – do you remember carols under the street light in 2020 and the singalong in front of the pub in 2021. So this year we are back inside (in the warm!) for carols music and readings accompanied by Pat’s Clarinet Choir, who will play some carol arrangements from 3.45 – so make a point of coming early! To be followed by mulled wine/cider and mince pies. The real start of the festive season!

Christmas Tree Festival
Thanks to all those who contributed decorations to the Golden Green entry into the Hadlow Christmas Tree Festival – the tree can now be seen in all its glory in the games room of The Bell.

Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2022
Thanks to our generous donors and dedicated house-to-house collectors, the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Hadlow District raised over £8000 this year, towards its vital work supporting veterans and their families. Road Closures and Roadworks
SGN continue work upgrading the gas network:
- Hartlake Road is closed until 23 December
- temporary traffic lights on Three Elm Lane by Sherenden Park are due to operate from 6 December until 28 April 2023!
- Blackmans Lane is now rescheduled to open on 23 December

Dementia Awareness
We are looking for people to help raise awareness and keep our residents safe within our local communities. Join our steering group and help share information on how it affects daily life. Advice can be offered to carers, family, friends and neighbours. 2 -3.30pm every other month. Dates and venue to be announced. For information contact Sandra Edmonds 07969 584183.
