According to my rain gauge we had 9 inches of autumnal rain in just 7 weeks, but saw only a small amount of flooding – which was lucky because with Hartlake Road closed we might have been cut off! Happily, Hartlake is open again (and once more a race track in rush-hour).

Frosty (and sometimes miesrably drizzly) winter is now upon us. Keep warm everybody! And please remember that while Christmas can be a time of great joy, it can also be very lonely for some of us. Please watch out for your neighbours and make sure they are warm, well fed and loved. I would encourage everybody to come along to our events and keep the community alive – carol service, coffee morning, Quiz nights, afternoon tea in the Bell, Leah singing, the January residents lunch ……. Bring your neighbours!

Wishing all Golden Green residents a very Happy Christmas from the Golden Green Association!
