Road Closures and Works

The scheduled closures of Three Elm Lane, Hartlake Road and Victoria Road for gas mains replacement over the summer inevitably change as the work progresses.

The current closure schedule according to one.network
4-18 August – Victoria Road
now – 10 August – Hartlake Road
now – 31 August – Three Elm Lane/Tonbridge Road, moving in sections eastwards towards East Peckham.

However, residents talking to the workers have been told that Victoria Road will be closed on Thursday 6 August and that work in Hartlake Road is almost complete. (Hartlake has been open evenings and weekends if used with care.) The barrier on Three Elm Lane will be moved east later on Wednesday 5th for the next stage outside the hall and then eastwards again for the next section of Three Elm Lane (from the entrance to Medway View as far as ??) It seems possible that they won’t reach the eastern end of the village before schools go back, so will have to return at a later date. All of this is subject to change of course!

A21 Roadworks and overnight closures will continue on various dates. (See the traffic map at https://one.network/ for more details).

More information including diversion routes can be found on the traffic map at https://one.network/ though we can’t guarantee that it’s up to date! Any deviation from the dates given are down to the contractor(s) concerned.

You can report non-urgent problems with roads and pavements to KCC online at https://www.kent.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/report-a-problem. This includes street light faults, potholes, drainage, traffic signal faults and overgrown vegetation (including hedges and grass).
