Mission Hall Bookings
Website: www.goldengreenhall.com
The Golden Green Hall is available for bookings. Contact Nicky Whapshott goldengreenhall@gmail.com or 07702 212317. Ideal for children’s parties.
The electrical works at the hall have been more extensive than planned – thanks to squirrels and mice eating lots of the wiring! But now complete. The main job – cleaning and painting the roof and redecorating inside – is planned for half term week starting May 28th. We will be using a cherrypicker rather than scaffolding but car park access will be limited.

Road Closures and Works
You hardly need reminding that SGN continue renewing the gas pipes In Three Elm Lane! The work is scheduled to 21 July with temporary traffic lights. But be warned it gets a lot worse – the traffic map says that Three Elm Lane is scheduled to be closed from the junction with Hartlake Road to roughly between Sherenden Park and Pierce Mill Lane from 22 July to 31 August! And believe it or not, the traffic map shows Victoria Road closed for a short distance at the junction from 28 July to 9 August. And at the same time, Hartlake Road is scheduled to be closed too, from the junction to roughly Hartlake Farmhouse! This would mean that for two weeks (28 July to 9 August) the only way in and out of Golden Green will be via East Peckham going east or Hadlow going west – surely someone at KCC Highways has noticed this madness!
The A21 southbound off-ramp to the Vauxhall roundabout is scheduled to remain closed for safety repairs until 31 May.
A21 Roadworks and overnight closures will continue on various dates. (See the traffic map at https://one.network/ for more details).
More information including diversion routes can be found on the traffic map at https://one.network/ though we can’t guarantee that it’s up to date! Any deviation from the dates given are down to the contractor(s) concerned.
You can report non-urgent problems with roads and pavements to KCC online at https://www.kent.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/report-a-problem. This includes street light faults, potholes, drainage, traffic signal faults and overgrown vegetation (including hedges and grass).
