Golden Green Carol Service – 21 December 4pm
Put the date in your diary now – our last opportunity of the year to come together as a village – carols followed by mulled cider and mince pies. This year we won’t have a vicar (Father Jim is leaving) so we will be on our own – ideas for how we adapt our proceedings welcome!
A new bench in the bus shelter!
Stop and admire the new bench in our bus shelter. Yalding church are removing some of their pews and we have bought one to go in the shelter – room for eight to sit (in theory!)

Golden Green Buy and Sell Group on Facebook
If you’re on Facebook, did you know that our village has its own online ‘market place’ for buying and selling preloved items to other residents? We don’t have advertisements on our Golden Green Association community Facebook group but we do support the ethos ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’. So, although not associated with the GGA, the Buy and Sell group fulfil a useful role in the community. Bag a bargain and clear the clutter at Golden Green Buy and Sell Group.
Road Closures and Works
The temporary traffic lights on Tudeley Road are scheduled to continue until 5 September for works by SGN.
Blackmans Lane is scheduled to be closed from 22-24 September for works by South East Water.
On 5 November from 9.30am to 3.30pm temporary traffic lights are scheduled for Tonbridge Road at Little Mill (by the Muraspec factory and Man of Kent).
Advance warning that Hartlake Road is scheduled to be closed from 19-21 November for maintenance works by Southern Water.
A21 roadworks and overnight closures will continue on various dates until October. (See the traffic map at https://one.network/ for more details).
More information including diversion routes can be found on the traffic map at https://one.network/ though we can’t guarantee that it’s up to date! Any deviation from the dates given are down to the contractor(s) concerned.
